How big is the excess amount?

WHICH CAR I NEED? DO I NEED ANY EXTRAS?

Consider that cars are booked by Group and not by specific model. Road Star reserves the right to upgrade without prior notice, if the model/group requested becomes unavailable for reasons unforeseen.

In most of your destinations you will not NEED a soft top 4WD, although it might be fun to drive one! Consider that is more comfortable and safer to take a regular car with air conditioning instead of one with an open top.

Please check in our extra option list and order them together with your car. Child seats are mandatory in most countries and must be requested at the time of booking. You will be able to order them after having selected a car. Due to insurance rules you will be required to fit the child seat yourself. Please take note that especially in Mediterranean countries the safety standards for child safety seats may differ from the standards you are used to in your country.

Roof racks are available for some car categories and should be specially requested at the time of booking. You will see if there is a roof rack to book after you have selected car. Consider renting a bigger car instead of a small one with roof rack as it is more comfortable and safer to drive without roof rack and with out having the risk of theft. No insurance covers damages caused by roof rack- or luggage on the roof.

IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT

Vehicle must never be removed from place of accident until police report has been completed and Road Star has been notified.

In case of any accident to the car you must immediately contact the nearest police station and make an accident report.

If you do not report this to the police and comply with the requirements under the country's law, the insurance might become invalid.

The report should state if there was any influence of alcohol or drugs and which driver has caused the accident.

It is essential that you also report any accident or damage to the Road Star. In case of other damages to the rented car, the above procedure should also be followed. If the vehicle is damaged while parked you have to report the damage to Road Star before the car is moved.

It is mandatory for the client to fill in a police report in case of theft and to turn this document in to our company. It is essential that you also report any theft to the nearest police station. The keys of the car must be handed to the Road Star representatives.

Any unnoticed accident or damage to the vehicle may be interpreted as negligence and the charge is due the customer.
